Rhossili Bay on the Gower Peninsula in Wales is not only one of the top ten beaches in the world, but is also part of the the first ever Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the United Kingdom. Rhossili Bay is the third best beach in Europe.
What makes Rhossili Bay so perfect? Three miles of fine golden sand, spectacular views of the Welsh and English coast, Atlantic swell for surfers, sea fishing at the extreme south of the beach (Kitchen Corner), the tidal island at Worm’s Head for walkers, ideal for watersports… the list goes on!
The Rhossili Bay postcode (for Sat Nav puropses) is SA3 1PP. Rhossili Bay is just 40 minutes-drive from Swansea (reached by the M4 from London). There are hotels and a site for camping all a short distance from Rhossili Bay beach. For glamping (glam camping) enthusiasts there are luxurious sites with superb views over Rhossili Bay. Besides Rhossili Bay, there are quality beaches and fantastic view to be found at Oxwich Bay and Three Cliffs Bay.
The post capture was made on the beach at Rhossili Bay in May this year. The hills shown can be reached on a circular walk from Rhossili village and offers spectacular views of the Welsh coast up to Pembrokeshire and across to Exmoor in England, on a clear day.
